ACT Workshop at the National Arts Festival

Recently, the Arts and Culture Trust (ACT) restructured its funding activities into a range of specific programmes to serve the sector more effectively.

As part of the Hands On! Masks Off! Programme at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, ACT will be presenting a workshop covering these new programmes, funding guidelines, assessment criteria, and ACT’s user-friendly online application process.

The ACT workshop will take place on Saturday, 11 July 2009 at 14:00 in the Oatlands School Hall, African Street, Grahamstown. The Hands On! Masks Off! programme provides participants with a platform to network with other performers, and to acquire and sharpen the skills necessary to conduct their craft as a profession.

ACT will also be sponsoring a Creative Cocktails Reception on Friday 10 July 2009 at 18:00 at the Oatlands School Hall. Similar workshops will be presented in KZN in July and in Gauteng and the Western Cape at a later stage.

The Arts & Culture Trust (ACT) is South Africa`s premier, independent arts and culture funding and development agency. For more information go to www.act.org.za
