Bacharach 2 Buble’ at the Rhumbelow Music of the greats, featuring Durban’s lady of jazz, Bobby Minter, comic MC vocalist Gino Veronie and Simon Kerdachi and his Trio.  From Bacharach 2 Buble’ is a nostalgic meander down memory lane and back again, through music made famous by greats such as Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, Luther Vandross, Carpenters and Patti Label to Idols winner Will Young and superstar Michael Buble’. Featuring Durban’s lady of jazz Bobby Minter and comic MC vocalist Gino Veronie. This heart stomping and toe tapping two has the backing of another Durban icon, the formidable sound of Simon Kerdachi and his Trio. Bobby is well remembered for her 10 years, every Saturday, that she spent at the Oyster Box, after which Simon did a further 7 years there. Together they played at all the big functions leading up to the closing of the grand hotel. Bacharach 2 Buble’ is a treat for both young and old in an atmosphere that will have you singing along in the era when music was, dare I say it, music! This fantastic singer has been in show business for 60 years. She won a local competition run by the African Consolidated Theatres in 1948 which started off her incredible singing career. Bobby joined Tom Minter`s Music at the age of 14 and sang in all the hotels and clubs in and around Natal KZN. BOBBY MINTER:  Bobby moved to Durban in 1976 and graced the stage of top festivals and clubs around South Africa. Henry’s Keller, Albany Jazz Club, The Cellar, Wagon Wheels Oyster Box [Saturdays for 10 years] Durban Country Club [18 years] and the Green Dolphin to name but a few. She has recorded jingles and has done guest appearances on various artists’ albums and television shows. Bobby has played with some of the world’s finest musicians, which include … Johnny Fourie, Groove Holmes, Peanuts Hucko, George Hayden, John Drake, Colin Penn, Simon Kerdachi, Dave and Darius Brubeck, Basil Moses, Andrew Ford, Andrew Lilley … She has done thousands of functions playing for king and queens, ministers and members of Parliament. She also has played numerous weddings and smaller functions drawing from a repertoire of songs ranging from jazz, Latin, ballads, light classical and even a touch of good old rock and roll.
