Sasol Wax Art Award DAC Jewellery Outreach Initiative The Sasol Wax Art Award Department of Arts and Culture Jewellery Outreach Initiative has received the ultimate accolade by having been invited to have some of the participant`s jewellery pieces worn by the Miss World 2008 contestants at the Miss World Fashion show on the 3rd and the Miss World Pageant on the 13th of December 2008. The Fashion Directors of the fashion show, Adam Levin and Jenny Andrew, which is to be staged ahead of the Miss World Crowning, have requested that a selection of jewellery pieces from SWAA Department of Arts and Culture Jewellery Outreach Initiative, (exhibited to wide acclaim at the Sanlam S.A. Fashion week and at the Sasol Wax Art Award 2008 exhibition at the University of Johannesburg Art Gallery) be made available to the selected designers who are creating special garments for the show. The fashion show will feature more than 30 of South Africa`s top fashion designers including Stoned Cherrie, Marianne Fassler and Gavin Rajah among others.
