Nipple Caps and G-Strings That sensational show Nipple Caps & G-Strings, that bears the tag-line, “everything you wanted to know about love, marriage and stripping, but were afraid to ask”, with the gorgeous and curvaceous actress-turned-stripper, Gigi, is BACK. In 2007 Nipple Caps & G- Strings enjoyed a record breaking two month season at the Tesson. Rave reviews and enormous public demand have prompted the producers to bring the show back for another season. It opens at the Tesson, Johannesburg Civic Theatre on 22 May for a limited run to 7 June 2008. Gigi reprises her role in Deon Opperman’s Nipple Caps & G-Strings, the English version. The good-looking Gigi, regarded by many as South Africa’s Queen of Strip, is, with her intimate knowledge of the Strip industry and her training as an actress, well-qualified to take audiences on this tell-all, no-holds barred journey, once again. “…where engagement with her (Gigi) audience is not solely about her talents with laps and poles, but about disarmingly sweet tutelage.” Janet Smith, Sunday Independent – 2 September 2007 The highly praised young director Genna Lewis, director of the smash hit production of Fiddler on the Roof and the recent The King and I is, once again in the director’s seat. While the show certainly goes all the way, including a demonstration and explanation of the techniques involved in a lap-dance; a class for volunteers from the audience on erotic dancing; as well as an on-stage stag party demonstration, it also attempts to make sense of the huge popularity of strip clubs. What goes on in a strip club? Why is it that people go to strip clubs? What role does ‘desire’ play in a successful relationship? Is sexy an attitude? And where does love fit into all of this? Nipple Caps & G-Strings, “sexy, humorous and sometimes even serious, is a relevant show that can be enjoyed by both men and women “. Dave Batzofin / Citizen – 30 August 2007. Nipple Caps & G-Strings is presented by In House Productions and is sponsored by the well-known local Lollipop Lounge, of which Gigi is a co-owner and manager. This show is strictly Adults only (nudity) -no under-18.
