A tantalizing wine and food pairing and dinner will be hosted by winemaker Carla Pauw at Sandton's Le Canard this Saturday, 13 October.
Uber talented wine-creator Carla Pauw will be hosting an intimate multi-course dinner, just one week prior to partnering with the gala opening of StarStruck, Samantha Peo’s newest cabaret, at Le Canard Restaurant in Sandton.
An elegant, relaxed evening is designed around the award-winning wines of boutique winery Saltare (meaning “to dance” in Latin) and paired with dishes from Le Canard’s newest summer a-la-carte menu.
“An opportunity to enjoy our creations with the best of Joburg’s true fine dining scene is long overdue,” says Carla, who started her wine-making talents in 2003 with just one barrel of cap classique bearing her name.
Since then she produces magnificent bubbles in true traditional methods, as well as Chenin Blancs, Syrahs and Bordeaux blends. Carla’s Saltare produces wine in Stellenbosch, next to a rose farm running along the Eerste River.
