The British Council is looking for an Arts Project Manager based in Joburg on a fixed term contract for 6 months on a fulltime basis. Payment: R25 000 per month

Our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries and increase appreciation for the UK’s creative ideas and achievements. We operate in 110 countries and territories worldwide.
The British Council in South Africa is looking to expand its arts programme. We are now looking to build our team by adding an energetic, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable project manager. We are looking for an experienced arts professional to help develop and deliver projects across our arts programme.
Projects planned over the six months include:
A music industry development programme (including technical and management skills)
A theatre technical skills programme
Youth media and online community
Creative industries development programmes
Use of digital in the arts
You will have: a relevant undergraduate degree, or equivalent professional experience; experience working with partnerships, significant recent professional experience in the arts sector and extensive project management skills; an understanding and appreciation of current trends and practice in digital/new media.
