Expanding on the lunch-hour concept, The Dean’s Concert, which takes place in the Atrium on Wednesday 26 September at 19:30 will highlight some of the first year and Foundation music student performers. Students will compete for monetary prizes, sponsored by the Dean of Humanities, Professor Tawane Kupe – the programme will include western classical, jazz, and popular music. Entrance is FREE – do not miss the opportunity to imbibe some of the country’s hottest budding talent. The Atrium, in the S W Engineering Building on the Wits East Campus, is fast becoming the musical hot-spot with featured artists like Jonathan Crossley, Carlo Mombelli, Paul Hanmer, Zanta Hofmeyr and Malcolm Nay.
