Don’t miss out on experiencing this heart-warming production by African Sinakho Arts which runs at the Port Elizabeth Opera House soon! In Blood Musical Drama, a heart-warming stage work by African Sinakho Arts, casts a new light on the impact a shared live theatre experience can make on audiences. This eye-opening show will be performed at the Port Elizabeth Opera House Theatre from 2 to 5 August 2012 in partnership with the National Department of Rural Development and Land Reform. Written and Directed by Bukelwa Cakata, conceptualised and co- Produced by Ndileka Santi, In Blood showcases for the wide-ranging talent and commitment of a cast of 80 performers with various disabilities who share the limelight with able bodied dancers. This show is a continuation of a national tour that was launched at the State Theatre in November last year and touched Mpumalanga Mbombela Civic Theatre in April this year. The production seeks to entertain audiences with a unique blend of originally composed vibrant songs, popular wedding songs, drama, dance, poetry and much more. African Sinakho Disabled Artists appearing in In Blood offer genuine entertainment that is themed around the central concept of human blood – that source of life and sustenance that keeps us all functioning from day to day, the essential substance that is common to us all. This serves as a unifying thread that underlines a very real sense of commonality between the performers and their audience. The duration of the show is 2 hours including a 20 minute interval.
