'Sensitive intelligent' pianist Shaer - now in SAHannie Hefer Promotions07/10/2012 14:31:59 
Acclaimed international concert pianist Ishay Shaer is currently in the country bringing works by Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy to audiences. Shaer is a prodigious prize-winner of competitions in the UK, Italy, Germany and has performed with, or been tutored by, luminaries such as Mischa Maisky and the great Murray Perahia. His 2012 schedule includes concerto performances with top orchestras in Puerto Rico, Spain and Jerusalem, and solo recitals in the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Chile and Germany. He will offer South African audiences 19th Century piano ‘miniatures’, like Chopin's famous etudes and Beethoven’s masterly bagatelles (“The Tempest” is added for contrast.) This is a very limited opportunity to enjoy great music by a young artist with extraordinary musical fluency and grace.
