Chris Wildman puts you in touch with your inner musical child in an introductory workshop on Saturday, 21 July in Kenilworth, Cape Town. He says: “Eighty percent of the adults I meet in everyday life admit that they ‘gave up’ on music after the age of 6, 11 or 18. Mainly as a result of schooling, their connection with their own innate musicality was somehow broken. “After spending 30 years pre-actively empowering children through music and play to prevent such an experience, I have discovered a capacity to also meet the inner musical child in every adult with whom I work. Using the core capacities of movement, vocalising, breath and play, I empathetically tune in to see where the blocks are to those core capacities which I see as the primary foundations of musicality in every person.” Introductory Workshop on Saturday 21 July 2012, 9.30am-12 noon at Michael Oak School Movement Room, Marlow Road, Kenilworth, Cape.
