National Children's Theatre by arrangement with DALRO presents Disney’s Aladdin JR. Disney’s Aladdin JR. will run from 4 June for the winter school holidays at the NCT, 3 Junction Avenue, Parktown. This production was made possible by the generous grants from the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF) and National Arts Council (NAC). Directed and staged by Francois Theron, this is another must-see treat for the whole family! Musical supervision - Rowan Bakker, Choreography -Shelley Adriaanzen, Costume design - Sarah Roberts, Lighting - Jane Gosnell and Set design - Stan Knight. The Disney’s Aladdin JR. cast feature Marco Spaumer as (Aladdin), Dolly Louw (Jasmine), Clint Lesch (Jafar), Dionne Song (Iago), Reynard Slabbert (Genie), Ferdinand Botha (Sultan), Keaton Ditchfield (Razoul), as well as Natasha van der Merwe, Marike Smith and Lebo Toko. This is interactive edutainment at its best and will have children’s spirits soaring with excitement. A kaleidoscope of exquisite costumes and delightful characters will transport you on a thrilling journey to the Orient. This heart-warming stage adaptation carries all the classic Disney themes - friendship, family, hope and love. These themes are the foundation of our human condition and engage the imagination and instil personal character that will last a lifetime. Disney’s Aladdin JR. will run at The National Children’s Theatre (NCT), 3 Junction Avenue, Parktown, from 4 June until 21 July 2012. During school holidays, performances are Mondays to Saturdays at 10.30am and 2.30pm. During the government school term, performances are weekdays at 9.00am and 10.30am.
