Imogen Heap to tour SACharl van Heyningen Enterprises11/01/2010 17:30:58
Sensational Grammy winning multi-instrumentalist in SA for 4 shows only early in 2011. Grammy award winning, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Imogen Heap will be touring South Africa for the first time ever in 2011 for four shows only as part of her Ellipse World Tour. On 29 and 30 January she will perform at Theatre of Marcellus, Emperors Casino in Johannesburg and on 4 and 5 February she will be at Paul Cluver Forest Amphitheatre, Grabouw, as part of this stunning outdoor venue's excellent summer season line-up. Both the chosen venues offer the perfect setting for Imogen's distinct style of music. First known as the voice of Frou Frou, it was her hit song Hide and Seek (currently sampled by Jason Derulo in his song Watcha Say) that catapulted her to stardom. Imogen's unique electronic-style is a brilliant kaleidoscope of voices, beats, sounds and emotions. She mixes beautiful lyrics with breath-taking melodies and traditional instrumentation with computers, to create a sound that`s folk-hued and digital, sparking the imagination.
