Waiting for Godot opens this weekend at the Fugard Theatre. Sir Ian McKellen, currently in Cape Town for the run of Sean Mathias' Waiting for Godot at the Fugard theatre, visited various schools in Langa, Gugulethu and Khayelitsha to promote the unique performance of the production at the O.R. Tambo Sports Centre in Khayelitsha on 2 August at 18:00. Tickets are on sale from 15:00, and the cost is "pay - what - you - can". This is part of the international cast and creative team's commitment to bringing theatre to the community. Waiting for Godot runs at the Fugard Theatre from 31 July - 14 August.
