Members of the public can browse the news on the site or subscribe to receive, via e mail, news tailored to their interests and area (art, dance, literature, music, theatre, province, etc.) and articles by various professional journalists. A single media release sent to Artslink.co.za is posted on its web and mobi sites, with images, and in the Diary, e-mailed to an extensive niche database of traditional media (newspapers, magazines, radio, television and production houses) and Artslink.co.za News subscribers. It is also forwarded to on-line media (Google News and other Internet RSS feeds) and social media (Facebook, Twitter) – increasing your exposure – and (searchable) archived. Q: Can I place a banner advertisement on Artslink.co.za? A: Yes, implementing an on-line advertising strategy is becoming an integral part of marketing campaigns - include it in yours! A: You can either take out an Artslink.co.za Account, which will entitle you to send as many press releases as you like for either six months or a year, depending which option you choose, or you can take the casual option. Go to SUBMIT on the front page and follow the instructions. Q: Can I post pictures with my media release? A: You can send in pictures/images in either .jpg or gif format. E-mail them to info@artslink.co.za IMMEDIATELY after you have posted your release with the SAME headline/slug line. Q: If I send a release to Artslink.co.za, will it also appear on Google News? A: All releases sent to Artslink.co.za are captured automatically for Google News, provided they are in the right format. Q: Can I post an article or review? A: We welcome articles and reviews, which fall into our ArtSpoken category. Go to ARTSPOKEN on the front page and follow the instructions. Articles are posted at editor's discretion. Please note that you must supply your name. Anonymouse does not live here. Q: Will I be paid for an article or review? A: Artslink.co.za provides a free platform. If another publication wishes to buy your article, you will be informed immediately and can negotiate your own rate. Artslink.co.za does not take a handling fee. Q: Can I comment on an article or review? A: Simply click the box at the end of the article or review and post your comment. It will fall under editor's discretion and you must submit your name. Q: How do I get my event into your calendar? A: Go to CALENDAR on the front page. Add an annual event or festival. Q: How do I subscribe to get news on my e-mail? A: Go to SUBSCRIBE on the front page and fill in the form. You can choose what kind of news you wish to receive. If you find you are receiving too much news, simply go back to the form and enter your preferences again. This is a free service. |
